The US built over a hundred aircraft carriers, half of them escort carriers. We also built 2,400 Liberty ships for cargo and another, I don't know, 600 victory ships to do that close to 3,000 ships just for transporting cargo. The equivalent today, it's pretty obvious to everybody except the Navy,.
