Basque as a Substrat for a Lot of the Romantic Languages
Basque is often given as a reason why, for instance, French has partially veg. It could just be something that developed in the area. But even then you, as far as we understand this, the Basque didn't have that much influence. They've always been confined to that area around the Pyrenees.
