The History of the S-4006

The S-4006 was what's known as pseudo-static RAM. It had one big square of capacitors and transistors in a nice 32x32 grid. In dynamic RAM, the charge on each capacitor will fade over time. Because of how this junction is situated, exposure to light will cause the charge to dissipate more quickly.
