The Paradigm of Financial Aid at Yale
The mission of financial aid is to make Yale affordable for everyone. Each one has essentially three parts, right? There is a parent share, which is based on the family's ability to pay. There's the student share; this is what we think a student would be able to earn from one or more jobs during the academic year in the summer. And if you spend less, that's great. The last part is the exciting part: Scholarships.
