Paradise Lost by William Blake
i'm teaching frankenstein now to my kids in tenth grade, and we just finish paradise lost. One of my students this year said that mary shelley is using pudding paradise lost in frankenstein but it's a cartoon version of paradise lost,. And the example was, ah, the childhood of victor and elizabeth and frankenstein. He describes them in the same way that milton describes a adam and eve. That if you just took a cursory read of paradise lost and were to describe Adam and Eve, you would describe victor and Elizabeth like science kid and flower girl.
