Some people with autism or schizophrenia may begin to see other people as merely automata and they may say how do I know that he or she is not just an automaton dressed up in clothes. Descartes his work shows all the hallmarks of somebody who was excessively indebted to the left hemisphere's take on the world. Some philosophers are more than average likely to be on the schizo-autistic spectrum something I talk about in one of the chapters on reason in part two but there is a trend in some of them to imagine zombies, Haunt says.
