God Was in It

i think that we can have a sort of privilege as kind of middle class americans to be shielded from that. The scriptures are much more real about the brokenness in the world, the darkness. And so when you read theur genesis, you're like, tan, it's a violent, violent world. But even if we don't say those things, even with an overtly prosperity gospel idea, we can say, you know, god was in it. We almost always mean, because it works out well, or because it was good rain and not, or we learned some sort of moral lesson. You know, nobody, nobody says god was inIt.
