Yes Mom or Yes Ma'am?
When we give a clear answer or clear instructions and then require our children to respond with yes mom, there's no room for question or confusion. So if you think three minutes might be too long, then I would say it's probably too long. Just set the timer for two minutes or even one minute. It's fine to adjust the time to whatever you think is best for your child because no one knows your child as well as you do. The Lord has given you discernment and be confident that he will lead you.
