The US Government Says China Is Already Using DNA Strategically Against Its Own Citizens
China has rounded up more than a million Uighurs, Chinese citizens who are a Muslim minority. Human Rights Watch says China is collecting DNA and other biometric data that's then used specifically to identify people. The US Department of Commerce sanctioned two subsidiaries of a Chinese biotech company last July.
