Betty Jo Booker went missing in Texarkana, Arkansas on March 24. Her body was found two days later by a couple who saw her car parked near where she'd been killed. The Texas Rangers were called to the scene but quickly realized that it had been contaminated with blood and evidence from other crime scenes. They identified the weapon used as a Colt 32 automatic pistol which is believed to be the same one used for both murders.
