The Buddha was very, very strong on the fact that each individual needs the liberty to live out their own potential in life. He categorically stated that women are also capable of realising the Dharma for themselves and realising their idea. In a way my job as an order member is really to help nurture people's confidence so they can make their own informal choices. But I think it's also easy to dismiss the sort of more literal nature of this question in that we don't steal women anymore. There exists modern slavery of men and women taken and held against their will with false promises and fear of violence. 46 million people around the world who are in modern slavery.
