In the essence of the internal call consists in the operations of the Holy Ghost, by which we are persuaded of the duty led to desire it. And dude, in some measure, with spiritual fitness for it, it may be willing to undertake it. Under his guidance, the spiritual application of the command to preach the gospel gives to the soul a relish for the holy and divine work commanded. A conviction of a call to this work, arising from an audible voice, or an immediate suggestion is for the reasons already given, a blind call not founded upon the truth and the word.
