How to Make a Nanowire With a Superconductor

In 2010, there were two groups who changed the ideas into something more practical by using a nanowire covered with a superconductor. They used semiconductor materials that also have a strong spin orbit interaction. The spin-orbit interaction makes sure that the magnetic field polarizes the spins in the semiconductor but doesn't kill the supercond conductor. And you can still convert coop repairs into normal electrons and make this hybrid system. It's such a puzzle box to solve. Really challenging on insanely small scale.
