Religion Is a Subspecies of Justice
"Religion is actually a subspecies of justice," he says. "You just owe it to other people to share with the blessings you have, whatever they happen to be." The mass and divine liturgy are all about external acts that reflect god's role in our lives - not theological virtues such as prayer or moral virtue like charity. But we can't slur them together, because religion is about love of god, devotion to god, adoration of god -- these are separate things.
