Brexit and the Global Populism

I think that it's quite helpful to see the current political crisis, both in a broader international context and therefore in the context of the financial crisis of 2007 to eight. Whether that means that the global populism of 2016 is a kind of dressed up version of older forms of right wing politics with a different kind of rhetoric or whether it's something really new? I think I'm not quite sure yet, but I do think that we should be thinking about Brexit in the context of 2007 to eight as well as this longer lineage of transformations within the conservative party.
