The operation of guilt, in theory, should terminate or interrupt once you correct. So i think that the phenomenology that shame feels global and uncontrollable may be phenomenological concomitants of these problems. For example, many people are demaling you, and you have no control. It's uncontrolable, like tiny, juntiny sesof of shame.
