Using Cold Base Models in an Isolated Context

System design is about looking at the project from a more higher level. It's not always possible to be with the perfect architecture and system design, you will never ship anything. But this exercis of looking at your cold base and seeing how pieces of the cold base behave in an isolated context away from the project can give you a really good idea of how much coupling there is where there shouldnt be it.
