Why she avoids a target lifespan

In this episode with Julie Gibson Clark, I'm highlighting a throwback conversation because the gap it exposed has only gotten wider. There's a leaderboard called the Rejuvenation Olympics where people submit a blood test that measures how fast they're aging. When we recorded, Julie was a 55-year-old single mom in Phoenix making under $100,000 a year, sitting at number two in the world, aging at roughly two-thirds the speed of the calendar, and ahead of people like Bryan Johnson, who was spending $2 million a year chasing the same number. Her budget was $27 a month for a gym membership and $79 a month for a supplement. This February, Bryan Johnson opened an elite longevity program at $1 million a year with three spots, an interview process, and a requirement that you hire a dedicated assistant to keep up with the protocol.

You'll learn what Julie actually does: sleep protected like it's sacred, walking and rucking, strength training and VO2 max work, a pile of vegetables every day, one supplement, prayer, and stillness. Nothing that requires an executive assistant. You'll also hear her full health history, from heavy metal toxicity and chelation therapy to the genetics that shaped her approach, exactly what she eats and when, her supplement stack, her sleep and sauna routines, and why she refuses to name a target lifespan. Now 56 and teaching as founding faculty at a longevity academy, Julie is proof that the affordable end of longevity practice still gets you remarkably far.
