The Death of Martin Frobisher

Martin Frobisher was able to purchase estates in Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire using his acquired wealth. He still continued to privateer until he received a gunshot wound while serving the English during the siege of Fort Crozon against the Spanish in France. The wound became infected and this claimed Frobisher's life in 1594 when he was likely to be in his late 50s. John Hawkins would attempt to sail across the Atlantic Ocean to rescue his son, who had been captured by the Spanish. Francis Drake would continue to attack colonies in the Americas after Hawkins but Drake really didn't make the kind of impact that he was famed for with several failed attacks on ports.
