Will to Truth in Nietzsche's Assessment of Philosophers
In his view of Socrates, we can come to understand Nietzsche's problem with philosophy when it becomes dominated by this all encompassing will to truth. This a critic philosopher will destroy life-giving myths because they aren't true. And so by these rarefied means, the philosopher arrives at the same place of life denial as the holy man. So that is sort of the problem in outline of how philosophy has been done before.
