There are spaces, spaces between the bricks and which they can. That's right. Where they're touching when they're hot and spaces open up when it's cold. Exactly. Other big challenges consider if you have a storage system and one area has some airflow blockage so that during discharge, it's not getting as cool as another area. The next day when you put heat in, it's going to wind up hotter than another area. And the day after that even hotter, thermal runaway that would cause failure because one part was too hot. So it turns out one of the hard problems is making sure that the temperature inside the material is uniform.
