Is There Something Bad Going On?

A great source of security for Bitcoin is for people to run old notes and run many versions of Bitcoin. Backwards compatibility that we have in Bitcoin is something very special in my view. The other thing is that software is not updated simultaneously because it's not automatic. So there'd be all sorts of signals out there that there's something definitely bad going on.
