You Can't Afford to Live on Minimum Wage
There's like no market in America where you can afford a one bedroom apartment on minimum wage. You would need three other roommates or four full-time jobs to afford having a place and keeping the amount you pay for it 30% or less of your income. There was a study about Walmart workers and they get paid so little that it's a guarantee that the people who are working there are going to need Medicaid. They're going to need the SNAP program, which is what they call food stamps now. So ironically, if he even stuck by his own small government conservative values, he would say, force the company to pay them enough to survive.
