i'm jillian hernandez i am an associate professor in gender women's and sexuality studies at the university of florida. I research gender and sexual politics in visual art and popular culture so i have been referring a lot to your work that's going for yay. um specifically your article miss you look like a brat stall I was wondering what got you interested in looking at brats and dolls in general and especially how they relate to young black and brown girls. For me it really begins with this like really intimate connection i had with barbie dolls that was very much fomented by my mom.
