The Importance of Multimedia in Avatar
The company learned a lot of things that it shouldn't do, like have the novels being written as the final touches were being put on the second edition rules. And then the other part of that with Avatar specifically was all three novels were being written by three different people in three different cities in the US. The game content that was running parallel to that was being written by Ed Greenwood up in Canada. Yeah, it was nuts. By the time we got to the Empire's trilogy for the Forgotten Realms and then subsequent things were much better organized. For Avatar, the novels became the things that ran really where the other subsidiary stuff went. It was easy to tie in the comic books and things like
