The Effect of the Genesis Story on Love

The biblical book of Genesis emerged from an ancient Eastern world with a number of creation myths. Every other creation myth is about a battle between a pantheon of gods where the victorious God either kills or subdues the others then creates out of that victory. The Genesis story is unique because it imagines God in harmonious community.
