I don't think anybody should say anything is the bottom of the well at this time. I can reasonably say, when I look into the well, I can't see past quantum mechanics. So do you understand what it means to be an observer? I understand it at a technical level. An observer is a system with enough degrees of freedom that it can record information and which can become entangled with the thing that it's measuring. Entanglement is the key. And it's that entanglement which we call an observation or measurement. Now, does that satisfy me personally as an observer? Yes and no,.
