Is It Better to Just Put Your Research Money Into One Laboratory?

i think a big part of it is being influenced, likek leggy said, one part is not having the agency, but another part is just being influenced by by what other people are doing. I wonder if that's a better approach to research in general, rather than ar for example, governments pouring all their resources into one laboratory. Or is it better to spread the resources between lots of different laboratories and each work on sort of what they believe could beroot to the to the cure? And i think at first glance, you'd probably say, why not just put it all into one laboratory? Then we'd have less duplication of research, less people working on the same thing.
