The CIA's MK Ultra

The CIA's MK Ultra program was launched in the 1950s to search for a mind control drug that can be weaponized against enemies. Experiments were conducted all over the country at universities and research centers on consenting volunteers, though some consenting under pretty vague pretenses. LSD and other drugs were often administered without the subject's knowledge or informed consent, which is a violation of the Nuremberg code. The most vulnerable who could not fight back as one agency officer put it are people who aren't going to like do anything. They also administered LSD to CIA employees at random.
