The work is fundamentally both a theological and revolutionary political one. It's about the kind of dialectical synthesis of the cold and warm streams of Marxism right because it postulates that actually the world is still in the process of being made and remade. The audience of this work was purposefully kept from reading it, but then when they do read it they find in its central critiques of the world around them the capacity for divine violence which i think is the most pressing sort of concerns of christian society.
