The Importance of Business Over Artist
I think the things that have been built around artists under the term business are basically just rent seeking initiatives, right? Distribution, marketing, like touring, all of that stuff is like, oh, you need a business brain behind you to take care of that stuff. And it's frowned upon in the traditional art world to do that yourself. Like you need the big name to represent you. It gives you clout, gives you another opportunity to go to a bigger gallery or sell like a higher sales price on your next round.
