The Feast of Elijah

Elijah is another Moses. This mountain parallels what happened to Mount Sinai. You had this demonstration of God's power and might via fire. Same thing happens back in the book of Exodus. And now you're going to have the feasting following the theophany following disappearance of God. So we'll pick up on that again in chapter 19 when Elijah actually flees all the way, runs all the way to to whore or to Sinai.
