Is the Exodus Story a Lament Song?

One of the things that struck me about your book on XS1 to 15 is that you started with the cry of the oppressed at the beginning and you ended with the exuberant joyful praise in the Song of the Sea. It just struck me is the Exodus story basically one big lament song. If the movement of the lament song is from grief to dancing the way you get there in the middle is the transformative action of God. So I think that makes perfect in good sense.
