Jim Abrams found out that there was success with the ketogenic diet after his son Charlie had all these violent seizures daily for years and years. He puts his kid Charlie on this diet and he orders him completely of these seizures ends up creating a foundation called the Charlie foundation named after his son looking into these things. We still were kind of like raised to believe that these authorities are the all knowing and you never questioned them because they have the phd on the wall
