Working in a Hardware Organization
Working on the eepod meant that he could literally be fullstack from boot loaders and device drivers to use their inter face. But working in a hardware organization also had its challenges. We were on these really tight schedules, working hard to get a new version of the eyepot out every year. No apple shipped a new one for christmas every year, just like they do now for phones. One engineer worked 34 days in a row without a day off.
