The Carbon Commons Is an Analogy to the Tragedy of the of the Rational Commons

Climate change is a clear example of that dichotomy between what may be good for you apparently and what's good for you ultimately. Every individual within a society has the incentive to enjoy all the benefits of fossil fuels unless everyone else does so it makes sense to take your car instead of waiting for the bus. If we end up with just the the belief of the strongest coalition as opposed to the true belief that is if we all kind of cooperated to collectively pursue the truth then we're all worse off.
