The Imposter Phenomenon

The big five personality traits are chief among them openness, extraversion, conscientiousness, neuroticism and an agreeableness. Those that have high levels of neuroticism are perhaps more likely to also report experience in imposter phenomenon. If we do have a barrage of negative thoughts some of which include anxiety of the future might include thoughts about one's sense of being an imposter. That over time for example increased heart rate, increased cortisol levels or even that sense of fatigue that we get from having to deal with all our intrusive negative and anxiety provoking thoughts.
