The global carbon problem is causing a diversity of issues at local scales. In the western united states and southern canada, one of the problems that we're seen is a huge increase in the rate at which forests or burn near people. As long as people live in the forests, then it is a kind of moral obligation to stop these communities from burning. But every time we do it successfully, it may give the false impression these are safe places to live. And so there are a few things that can be done.
