The Effects of a-B Tests on Performance
The experiment was essentially an A-B test that people didn't know they were taking part in. Half of them got a message that says that didn't work, Please try again. And the other half got a message saying you lost five points and now you have 195 points. The results of the people who were told they were losing five points versus not are remarkable and very statistically significant.
