Eigen layer is a modular system that can be built on top of other layers. It's designed to preserve the core values of Ethereum while allowing this marketplace. Eigenlayer runs at 1.3 megabytes per second, not 1.3 kilobytes per second as originally planned. The total data bandwidth of Etherum is somewhat constrained and it will take two to three years to get there with donk sharding.
