The Importance of a Liver Biopsy
Liver biopsy is essentially the definitive test, right? So it tells, it's the gold standard. But even that is not perfect. You know, liver biopsy suffer from, you know, sampling bias. We're much less likely to get them in the day, in this day and age, since we can easily do fiber scans in those cases. For hepatitis C and hepatitis B, vibration control transient elastography is extremely accurate. Once again, just like any other non-invasive measure, it does better on the margins than it does in the middle.
