We saw a lot of themes from our two essays at opposite extremes. From the shire as the little circle of light surrounded by darkness to phroto sam merry and pippin going out to do battle with the monsters, which they did quite literally in book too. And we also had some on fairy stories, themes in that deep fairy resonance of lorian. The four hobbits sticking together through thick and thin is one of their common themes. We saw it mostly on phrosh osh but we saw it on others as well,. Obviously you can ly expect froto and bilbow especially in rivendale.
