The Wanderlust of a Prisoner of War
After the war, Phillips is released from a Japanese prison camp and goes back home. He doesn't stay that long but returns to study sociology in London by 1946. There's speculation this stems from an interest in how people sort of organize themselves in the camp. But he never really talks about the war or his experiences during more time or very little. His wanderlust has definitely not been extinguished.
