Explosions in the Hosec Tunnel
In 1890, 90 miners died in an explosion at the Morpha Collery on the southwest coast of Wales. Some workers reported seeing a man dressed in mining gear slowly walking down the tunnel. Others claimed to hear strange knocking sounds as if something were still alive deep inside the earth. A Welsh journalist visited the site and heard their stories.
