The population of dingoes on Gary Fraser Island is around 150. There's not been a growth in the population since it was first established more than 100 years ago. People don't see dingoes as a top-order predator, and they're most at risk to children. It's best to avoid killing dingoes for this kind of thing because killing dingoes is really a short-term fix. This is a continual thing that another dingo will just come and do a similar thing.
