I also like an exercise called fear setting where you list out the things that are most likely to impede the implementation or the actions that would need to be taken on a given project. And what it does is it puts fears into perspective about how likely they really are, how bad the downside really is because often not nearly as bad as you might build up in your mind. There's usually some precautions that you can take in the beginning or some systems that you could set up so that if that really does come to pass, you can recover fairly easily or fairly realistically from these worst case scenarios.
