The Importance of Aircraft Carriers in Peer-to-Peer Conflict
Sam Rogavin is director of the Lowi Institute's International Security Program. His work dealt mainly with North Adrian's strategic affairs, including nuclear security and the development of Asian military forces. He says aircraft carriers are not very useful weapons in what's often called peer-to-peer conflict. The ubiquity of high-speed anti-ship missiles has made them extremely risky to operate within their range.
