I don't think I knew what I was doing when I started it, but as I kept going, I realized like, oh, I'm really capturing certain feelings of suburban malaise that I was feeling as a teenager. When you made the short film, did you always intend for that to eventually become a feature? And women would watch the short and share with me, you know, like strangers would message me on Instagram or come up to me after a screening and shared with me ways in which they identified.
