Hiring process is mostly qualitative, feel and short. What does success mean for a hire? Seems like a hard problem. I've never thought about it, but it's almost embarrassing how little predictive modelling or data is involved in any hiring process. Whether i want to have a beer with them doesn't really describe whether they're gong to be good at their job. It describes whether they're like me. So it's a terrible thing that i probably was doing in an interview process. But yet, i think, ultimately, when you think about, interviews are just around sort of this intellectual horse power.
