Wellington's Scum of the Earth Comment
Wellington called his own men scum of the earth four times. The comment is taken out of context, but he unquestionably believed it. It was made in anger after plundering French baggage train following Battle of Victoria. He later said that he could have gone anywhere and done anything with a perfect army.
